Day 23 of Free to BE YOUng: Actively Love (Parent or Re-parent) Yourself

Make it a habit to be kind to you, protect yourself and love yourself on a daily basis.

It is unfortunate to be an orphan.  Probably once a year I’m in a sorrowful defenseless situation when my hurt-Subby says, “I want my Mommy.” If your good real parents are alive count yourself lucky.  If not, it is time to get active and give compassionate parenting to you.

It is helpful to make a list of 10 ways that you will love yourself today and each day this week. You may already be doing most of the list everyday:  exercising, walking, eating well, socializing, etc.  There may be a few points of caring that you are neglecting.

Do give yourself credit for all the ways you are caring for yourself.

And I suggest you even give yourself the gift of being a good parent to your inner child by throwing in a sweet gift of caring. It could be anything as small as an ice cream cone to something as magnificent as a tour I read about today: 17-stop-flight around the world with 12 tours. WOW! This trip actually appears to be a bargain. It’s on my wish list for when I retire in my 80’s.
