Day 210: “For you and I are sons (children) of one religion, and it is the spirit.” ― Khalil Gibran, The Prophet

This quotation contained the first words I encountered of any other person who respected many religions as I did secretly.  In Northern Indiana farm country I was taught to disparage and actually distrust God’s other children in other religions (which were condemned as pagan).

“I love you when you bow in your mosque, kneel in your temple, pray in your church. For you and I are sons of one religion, and it is the spirit.” ― Khalil Gibran, The Prophet

Relief and understanding and mercy and curiosity were awakened by this quotation.  Certainly this line of thinking has led me to become an Interfaith Minister with The Fellowship of the Inner Light and to become a Healing Cherag (Minister) with the Sufi Inayati Order. These traditions have enhanced my life and made way for becoming a Super-Ager.
