In my 30’s as I read these words my studies had primarily been in the fields of emotional health: Gestalt, Family Therapy and Primal therapy. I had been eating quite healthfully for several years, and this idea of thought as force fascinated me—rang true and inspired me to go further in my spiritual training. Certainly I had begun to have the experience of stating Virginia Satir’s 5th Step of the 5 steps which was declaring what I did and didn’t want in relationships or for myself was creating more self-esteem and pleasantness in my life. After years of placating to others and even to myself I had glimmers that thought was force. I knew wanted to learn more about this concept stated in this broader quotation:
“Thought is a force, even as electricity or gravitation. The human mind is a spark of the almighty consciousness of God. I could show you that whatever your powerful mind believes very intensely would instantly come to pass.” From AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI by Paramahansa Yogananda
These few weeks I am sharing spiritual concepts/material that inspired me to long for and to create Super-Aging.
