Day 228: “The body is a treacherous friend. Give it its due; no more,” …by Paramahansa Yogananda

It takes discipline and self-care to reach Super-Aging. I have learned to be alert to my body and do attempt to “give it its due.”  Attending to the body as quickly as possible can prevent that one event of a slight burning in the solar plexus from turning into long term acid reflux for instance. This takes discipline.

Today’s quotation and similar wisdom statements through the years are reasons why I have studied at least 5 different healing modalities. The most serious and longest trainings were with sending/sharing light and love with intention with Inner Light Consciousness and Polarity Therapy. Polarity Therapy also sends and shares “light and love” with intention plus exacting knowledge of where and when to apply pressure to the body’s 5 element systems.

This quote refers to self discipline:

‘“The body is a treacherous friend. Give it its due; no more,” he said. “Pain and pleasure are transitory; endure all dualities with calmness, while trying at the same time to remove their hold.”’ From AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI by Paramahansa Yogananda

(I am now sharing spiritual material that inspired me to long for and to create Super-Aging.)
